Sinopsis: “El niño que escuchó el silencio” es un cortometraje 3D con un formato innovador y realizado con la mejor tecnología de animación digital que pretende conmemorar y homenajear uno de los momentos más importantes de la historia deportiva de España del siglo XXI: el gol que valió el primer título mundial de fútbol para España en el mundial de Sudáfrica 2010.
En sus 7 minutos de animación 3D, conseguidos con la hibridación de tecnologías de desarrollo de videojuegos, motion capture (trajes de captura de movimiento aplicado a #metahumans (personajes digitales) y técnicas de animación tradicional, este corto sitúa la acción en un tiempo contemporáneo en plena Albufera de Valencia, cuando un viejo periodista les cuenta a sus nietos la historia del niño manchego que veía con frustración cómo la selección española de fútbol fracasaba una y otra vez en los mundiales. Ese niño se hizo jugador profesional y llegó a la selección española. La historia da un salto y se sitúa en el momento en el que la selección disputa por fin la final de un Mundial de Fútbol y ese niño, ya un hombre, tiene la oportunidad de su vida, con la que soñó él y todo un país durante décadas, de empujar un balón al fondo de las redes.
Se trata de un homenaje a uno de los momentos más destacados de la historia del deporte español, a través de un relato de ficción que culmina en el instante en el que se desencadena la euforia de todo un país con el histórico gol de Andrés Iniesta en la final del Mundial de Sudáfrica 2010.

It is a tribute to one of the most outstanding moments in the history of Spanish sport, through a fictional story that culminates in the moment in which the euphoria of an entire country is unleashed with Andrés Iniesta’s historic goal in the final of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
