Título original: Olvido
Sinopsis: Una fotografía de principios del siglo XX en un pequeño pueblo llamado Pelahustán (Toledo) nos hace preguntarnos sobre quién es la pareja que aparece en ella en ella. Buscando su identidad, intervienen otras historias contadas por gentes del pueblo, y todas juntas forman un relato común con lagunas y ausencias.
La película se centra en la necesidad de conservar la historia no escrita, la importancia de no olvidar, como dice Eduardo Galeano «la oscuridad es la la única muerte que mata de verdad» y un pueblo sin memoria es un pueblo muerto.
A través del personaje ficticio de «Olvido», alter ego del director y también alegoría de la historia, nos adentramos en un relato que se diluye en el tiempo.
EN: A photograph from the beginning of the XX century in a small village called Pelahustán (Toledo) make us wonder about who the couple on it are. Searching for their identity, other stories told by people from the village take part, and all together make a common tale with gaps and absences.
The film is focused in the need to keep non-written history, the importance of not forgetting, as Eduardo Galeano says «obscurity it the only death which really kills» and a village without memory is a a dead
village.
Through the fictional character of «Olvido», the director’s alter ego and also allegory of the story, we go into a tale that thins out in time.
